My Story
Where it all started...
From a young age, I had a passion for health and fitness. I wasn’t the best at sports in school but I loved to dance. I began dancing when I was 5 years old and loved expressing myself through movement. I have a very creative side that I now bring to my posing in bodybuilding.

After I left school I wasn’t exactly sure what career I wanted to pursue, like many young people I suppose. I did try studying music and performance as I was also a musical child, but that wasn’t quite right. Eventually, I decided to give dance a go as a full-time job and moved from my hometown of Canberra to Melbourne to study dance.

I learnt a lot about myself during my 2 years of studying dance. It taught me many hard lessons about gaining confidence in my own abilities and sometimes needing to block out the negativity of others who didn’t have my best interests at heart.
During this time, I realised that what I truly wanted to do was help and inspire people. I wanted to pursue a career that allowed me to improve people's lives for the better.
This is what drew me into the fitness industry. I knew I loved movement and I loved helping and inspiring people so it was only natural that I gravitated towards fitness. I moved back to Canberra and studied my qualifications in fitness and fell in love.

I knew that I was finally on the right path. I knew this was what I was meant to do with my life!

I began teaching Les Mills classes and working as a personal trainer at my local gym. I also studied my nutrition qualifications to better help my clients, as I truly believe nutrition and fitness go hand in hand. Over the years I have continued to upskill and completed more qualifications in both fitness and nutrition-related areas, including becoming a qualified yoga and pilates instructor for both mat and reformer.

I transitioned to online coaching in 2023 to be able to help more women all over the world. This was the beginning of Kaitlyn Marie Fitness.

My Bodybuilding Journey
My introduction to bodybuilding was an interesting one. I had been in the fitness industry for a few years but didn’t think competing was for me. When I met my partner, he introduced me to the bodybuilding world and I looked at it with fresh eyes. After watching my first show, I made a promise to myself to get on stage as soon as I could. I began my first prep in 2021.
I had my eyes set on competing in the WBFF show that year, however, COVID hit again and cancelled shows for WBFF in 2021. As I was already in prep, I decided to give ICN a go as they were still going ahead with their 2021 shows, and I am so glad I did.

My first ever bodybuilding show was ICN ACT, where I came home with multiple placings in the Bikini division and an overall win in the Swimsuit category. I was thrilled but knew I had more in me. I couldn’t wait to get back on stage and decided to compete in an interstate show the following week, where I came home with another overall win in the new Runway category.
After my first season competing, I decided to go again the following year in 2022 and this time compete in Fitness for ICN. I prepped myself for this show and I came home with a win in the Novice division and a 2nd place overall. Which was again an amazing achievement.
I then continued with my dream to step on the WBFF stage and went into my first proper build phase. I competed in WBFF in 2023 and was a little taken back by not placing. I had put my heart and soul into this show yet didn’t come away with anything. That show taught me to continue to be humble and work hard no matter what.
It lit a fire in me for my next show which was 2024 for the new FMG federation. I prepped myself for the second time ever and placed in the top 10 in one of my divisions and was happy to have improved on my previous package and come home with a placing. I’m definitely proud but not satisfied.
I will be prepping again for a 2025 FMG show, and my goal is to eventually win my pro card. I want to be a positive role model for aspiring competitors and show them how a win may not be easy but never give up on your dreams.
Competing is an amazing experience and no matter the outcome on the day, you should always be proud of the hard work you put in! The competing journey can be tough both mentally and physically, and I have realised how truly important your coach can be to your success. This is one of the many reasons that I now want to share my passion and knowledge with other women to coach them to the stage.
I am extremely passionate about consistently upskilling and learning. As a coach, I want to ensure my clients are always educated with the most up-to-date knowledge and skills.
In my spare time, you will find me either studying or increasing my knowledge in any way I can.
I want the absolute best for my clients, so I ensure I am on top of my game and give them my best.
